Amigos del Baja Prog:

Tenemos algunas noticias para ustedes en torno a nuestra gran fiesta progresiva anual.
Primordialmente informarte que nuestro festival no se cancela, como algunos rumores así lo consideran.

Si bien es cierto que los factores económicos mundiales nos han afectado, provocando que se tenga un atraso con respecto al anuncio oficial y a las fechas de celebración del evento.
Otro rumor que se tiene es el de que no hay bandas que completen un cartel a la altura de los años pasados, rumor totalmente fuera de realidad, ya que se tienen ya pactadas bandas de calidad indiscutible.

Actualmente el comité organizador esta realizando todos los esfuerzos necesarios para que en la segunda mitad del 2009 se vea la bandera progresiva ondear por décima tercera ocasión en Mexicali.

Próximamente te otorgaremos mas detalles con respecto a fechas y bandas invitadas a esta edición.

XIII Festival Internacional Baja Prog.

Rubén Belauzarán nos comenta que van a presentar el documental "Baja Prog 2008" en el cine morelos junto con el instituto de cultura de Morelos.sera el sábado 4 de octubre 2008 alas 18.30 hrs. entrada libre.

Baja Prog is a series of Progressive/Art Rock concerts that take place during 4 consecutive days (march 26-29 2008) , where 20 bands and fans from all over the world get together to exchange ideas and build relationships. The Festival takes place in Mexicali, capital of the state of “Baja California”, México; right on the border with state of California in the U.S. look at the map.

El festival Baja Prog es hoy en día sin duda el mejor festival de América latina en cuanto a rock progresivo y propuestas creativas se refiere, es una mezcla de música, amistad y artes que causa adicción en los cientos de personas que han asistido a todas sus ediciones.

Este año no fue la excepción y de una u otra forma el festival a encontrado nuevamente la manera de hacer que la experiencia musical y el viaje auditivo que ella conlleva, fuese tan pero tan grata, que hay quien asegura haber llorado después de tan impresionante actuación de la sinfónica de Baja California con la poderosa banda italiana NEW TROLLS, quienes lucharían de 2 a 3 caídas sin limite de tiempo contra la gran agrupación de CIRCA: y sus miembros de la legendaria banda YES, por el titulo de la mejor......
